Frequently asked questions
Quick answers about accounts, supported targets and what a completed build proves.
Can I release a commercial game on Free?
Yes. Free supports commercial games with no revenue limit. Choose a paid plan for the capabilities you need, rather than because your game earned revenue.
Do downloads require an account?
Downloads do not require an account. The desktop app requires a free frameDock account. A valid signed session works offline for up to 30 days.
Does my game source leave the computer?
Account records do not include your project names, paths, source files, assets, logs, credentials or game output. A store upload you explicitly request is a separate operation.
Can I cross-compile?
Supported Godot cross-exports use matching templates. Unity and Unreal need the native host for the chosen Windows or Linux target. Console profiles give requirement guidance.
Does a successful build mean the game is released?
No. Check the manifest and play the extracted game. Store authorization, upload and confirmation on the intended branch are separate steps.
